Expo Square Pavilion

There is one project in an architects professional life that becomes a legacy project and the Pavilion is that one for me. An exquisitely designed Art Deco built as part of the Depression era WPA this jewel had deteriorated over the years to the point that demolition was a distinct possibility. Fortunately, the fairgrounds management and the Tulsa County Public Facilities Authority had the foresight to restore this building. The rich terra cotta agricultural images were restored, the windows replaced. new seating added, restrooms upgraded, the surrounding asphalt removed and landscaping added.

Owner: Tulsa County Public Facilities Authority
Cost: $6,000,000.00
